The Psychology of My Mind

By Angel Michelle

In conclusion to my personality test that I took in Psychology, my letters are ISTP. I am an Introvert, rather than Extrovert. S is for Sensing, which means I work with known facts rather than Intuition, which is looking for possibilities and relationships. T is for Thinking. I base my decisions on impersonal analysis and logic. Rather than Feeling, where a person would base their decisions on personal values. And lastly, P is for perceiving. I prefer a flexible, spontaneous way of life. Rather than Judging, where a person would prefer a planned, decided, and orderly way of life. Descriptive words for my type preference include energetic, action-oriented, factual, practical, can be alone, is willing to work until perfect, interested in the process more than the product.

You are the performers, the actors, the artisans, and the athletes. Whatever you do, you are more concerned with the way you do it than with the product. You are willing to expend considerable amounts of time and energy working on a project or perfecting a skill. You will work until whatever it is, is as perfect as you can make it.

You are best working with the tangibles of the world. You may handle tools with facility and are proficient in any field where that ability is useful, such as mechanics. You may also consider your body a tool and tune it to be a great performer.

If your intersts are not technical, mechanical or athletic, you may use your mind to help analyze systems or markets. You may also enjoy taking a confused bunch of figures of materials and creating order out of chaos. Whatever you do, it will make “sense.”

You prefer to work alone and dislike interruptions, or working in a situation where you have to please a lot of people, unless, of course, those people are observing you from the grandstand! Then you are at your best – using your abilities to react and think quickly and adapt to the needs of the moment. This same ability may make you a good poker player, soldier, athlete, trouble shooter, or any other occupation where you can use your quick thinking and ability to live in the moment.

Please avoid any routine employment such as clerical work, and try to cultivate completing one task before taking on another.
